When you set up a new campaign you will have to pick your preferred tracking method. There are two methods available for any campaign, which are Postback and Pixel tracking.
However, if you decide to import an offer from an integrated network, you will be given the option to select auto-tracking which has 100% accuracy because it automatically imports data directly from your affiliate network.
3rd Party Postback Setup
If you are using a network that supports Postback URLs, when setting up your Conversion Profiles you will need to organise your URL structures to suit that of your network. This will allow the platform to replace the right token in the Postback URL that is generated.
The required variable/unique identifier you need to pass your affiliate network from Clickthroo is: #token# and this can be passed in any available variable that your network allows. If for example you have used the SUBID1 variable in your tracking link to pass our tracking token then you need to now place our Postback URL in your desired network.
An example of the Postback you would place on your Affiliate Network in the above example would be: postback.clickthroo.com/SUBID1.
Note: You must contact your Affiliate Network to replace the SUBID1 in the above URL to the required token that they use, which will be different with each network. A SUBID is a variable that a Network uses to allow you to pass information to them and they can often send it back to you in the Postback URL.
See the diagram below for a visual representation of how Postback URLs work:
3rd Party Pixel Setup
Pixel tracking is the least accurate method but if you are using it then you will find your tracking code in the Campaign Overview section. Copy this piece of code and provide your network with it if you are unsure how to install it yourself.
